I deactivated the bomb in Megaton and was rewarded with my very own tin shed to live in woohoo. Just a guess Tim you are evil to the core eh? Owl there is a lot of shooting with most quests being solvable via Speaking and diplomacy, sneakiness or my personal fav John Rambo shoot everyone and sort it the mess out after the fact. The game is very hard though and I will admit I did drink toilet water to survive on several occasions. Embarassed

that's what drove me nuts about mass effect. you had three choices of responses or whatever. well, hell - you made your choice, right? Then, you got a response. Well, if it wasn't the one you wanted you weren't stuck with it - you could just go down the list and hit each one, one at a time. It was like I was reading a book where I had to press a button for the next line every time. Add that to the fact that I just hate over-the-shoulder shooters( Gears is the only one I have been able to deal with) and I will make fallout a rental for sure. if the idiots at gamefly haven't forced me to cancel my subscription again. i keep trying them hoping it's better but no. it never is.

anyway, sorry for being so negative...but I just finished watching the GA/FLA game. We sucked, they cheated, the refs threw every call they could FLA's way and I'm pretty embarrassed that the team could look so good against LSU and suck so royally against FLA. I mean, I figured we'd probably lose, but we got our tails kicked! Sad GRRRRR>.

so, just ignore me. Smile

Ya I watched the game and was really disappointed in it. This game could and should have been much better. The Dawgs pass rush was just not good enough on this night and im not sure if the early bad calls slowed them down or what.

As for Fallout 3 you do not make these choices in a chat or anything like that as in Mass effect you actually get say a mission to help some people who are being harassed by a gang. You can either go and try diplomacy with the gang and have the two sides settle their disagreement or you can sneak and kill the leader leaving them just a bunch of wretches with no leader or you can kill them all. There is also another method which im sure Tim uses in which you could approach the gang and get paid by them to kill all the settlers.

Basically how you solve quests is completely up to there is no rules or guidelines to follow. However there are implications to your actions in how others will treat you after the fact.

Re: Fallout 3

Anyone else having issues with Fallout? I have noticed that if I walk around the map, in certain areas, the graphics go crazy. I noticed this first somewhere west of Tenpenny Tower and then again somewhere in the NW quadrant of the map. Now, I have walked out a door and it autosaved but my screen is black. This happened yesterday so I thought it was a fluke. I turn it on today and hit continue and the screen is still black. It looks like I am going to have to start over from my last save point. Ugh. At least I save like every few minutes. Ha.

It's official. I am stuck in Broken Bow. I can't leave. Only two exits, one you have to have a lock pick skill of 100 (very hard) and the other just fowls up and leaves me at a black screen. I'm pissed. --So I registered on Bethesda's Fallout Forums. Apparently, several others are stuck in the same place. Until this is fixed, STAY OUT OF BROKEN BOW.

Yeah, I backed out of it but from reading the issues people are having on the Bethesda page, I don't have much hope that it will get better until a patch is released. The game is full of problems.

I was wondering if some patches were going to be needed for this game. I'm kind of holding off getting it because of that. If anyone else can find glitches let us know.
